We have provided some information that should be beneficial in understanding the process of buying a firearm online. We have also included Shooter's Headquarters' shipping policies. If you have further questions please visit Contact Us.

How to Buy a Gun Online

Anyone can buy a gun online. All firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. If you do not have an FFL, you must find a local dealer to handle the transfer for you. It is the buyer’s responsibility to contact the local FFL about receiving and transferring the firearm. Be aware most FFLs have a small transfer fee usually around $20.

Shooter's Headquarters must have a signed copy of the FFL’s license on file before your firearm order will be shipped. If a valid license is not on file, the FFL must email or mail a copy to Shooter's Headquarters. Please make sure that the shipping address of your order is that of the FFL handling your transfer. Once a valid FFL is on file your order will be shipped.

It is also the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the all federal, state and local laws are followed with the purchase and possession of purchased firearm. Shooter's Headquarters is not responsible for orders placed that are in violation of federal, state or local laws. Firearms that need to be returned due to law restrictions will be charged a 10% restocking fee. Ask your local dealer about the specific firearm you want to purchase before ordering if you have questions or concerns regarding its legality.

Shipping Policies

Shooter's Headquarters ships firearms ONLY to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. Firearms will not be shipped to any other address other than that of a valid FFL.

If you do not have an FFL, please search for one online or contact your local FFL about receiving your firearm. If your local FFL has not previously sent us a copy of their FFL we will need a signed copy faxed or mailed Shooter's Headquarters before we can ship your firearm.

All items ship within 3-5 business days from the date of order and FFL on file. We need both payment and copy of FFL to ship your firearm order. Non-firearm orders will ship after payment is received. Please make sure that the shipping address of your firearm order is that of the FFL handling your transfer.

Shipping Rates

Handguns are shipped via the United States Post Office (USPS) at a flat rate of $25 per handgun. This is the amount the post office charges, we do not markup the cost of shipping.

Long guns are shipped via UPS at a flat rate of $20 per long gun. We try to keep it simply for our customers. Shipping to AK or HI may be more than listed above.

Returns

Firearms should be well inspected before the transfer at your local FFL. Once the firearm is transferred to you by the FFL the firearm is considered used regardless of being shot or not and we cannot give you a full refund if you return the firearm. We also do not reimburse FFL transfer fees or shipping fees.

Shooter's Headquarters will ONLY accept returns on defective new items. The buyer will have the option of receiving a replacement (if available) or a full refund including shipping fees and return shipping fees. If a defect is discovered on a new firearm after the transfer, the buyer will need to contact the manufacturer directly.

Used items are advertised accordingly and are returned with a 10% restocking fee. Return shipping fees will NOT be reimbursed by Shooter's Headquarters for used items.

Returns must contain all original contents and should be placed in original shipping package to avoid restocking fee and receive full refund. Items must be returned within 2 weeks from date of arrival for full refund. After 2 weeks there is a 10% restocking fee on new items.

Damaged Shipments

If a product is damaged and needs to be replaced, please contact Shooter's Headquarters by email (sales@shooters-headquarters.com) and be sure to use DAMAGED SHIPMENT as subject. Include your order number, a description of the items damaged and the extent of the damage in the email. You will be contacted within two business days regarding replacement and return shipping instructions. Keep all original packaging and contents.
